    Bunny Butt
Every now and then, I give my bunny a bath using small pet shampoo. He is really really furry and he gets stuff crusted in his fur. I try to clip it off with scissors, but sometimes I'm not sure what is his tail and what is the clump of crap. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest brushing a little more often then it will be easier to tell.

One of my bunny's has a lot of trouble with poo sticking to her fur.

Once a week I wash her bum in the sink with warm water and dish soap (it's really mild, won't cause irritation).

I also trim the fur. The best way to do that is to clamp the fur between your fingers and cut above your fingers, not below.

I use pretty much the same method as you Alty but I use a wide tooth comb and slide it behind the poop... that way you cut against the comb and can't cut bunnys skin :)

That's much better then using your fingers. Why didn't I think of that? All the poo, on my fingers, could have done the comb. Ahhhhhhh! Darnit. ;)

How well does a bunny accept a bath? Just curious?

It really depends on the bunny Artsy.

Some bunny's love it, will actually play in the water and sit very still for cleaning time, others are worse then cats and you'll have the scars to show it afterwards.

Our rex Oreo is okay in the bath, she tolerates it mostly but feels so good after she's done that she hops around in joy.

Thumper also tolerates it, Cotton actually likes it and Kilala will rip your arm right off if you even try it.

I'm laughing but Kilala (a.k.a. killer) will rip your arm off LMAO.
So I guess bathing a bunny is not a one size fits all thing.
Thanks for the info and you have some really cool bunny names :D

The kids picked the bunny names. Cotton was easy, he looks like a Cotton ball. Thumper, well, he thumps a lot. Oreo is black and white, looks like an oreo cookie. Kilala is a demon two tailed cat on Inuyasha, Jareds favorite show.

If I had named them they'd probably be, Whitey, Blacky, Spot and Fuzzy. :p

Kilala is a killer, I'm telling you she has attitude up the wazoo. She's my wild child. Figures I'd get a bunny with my personality. ;)

Reddie me all you want. I have nothing constructive to give to this thread.

But I LOVED the subject Bunny Butt...

I'm a sucker for tight writing.

I have only ever given one long time member a reddie, and it wasn't you...
I love random threads... guess that's why I have so many posts so quick

Well... the bunny ranch is finished... I thought I'd just post it here instead of starting a thread about it...

There are a few finishing touches to go but it's liveable

It's just a basic wooden frame with chicken wire over the whole thing.
    Base is open (no wire)
Roof is tin over the back half.
We then put shadecloth over the other half.

We then realised our big mistake... we didn't slant to tin so all the water would have dripped down right in the middle of the hutch
We had to go out and buy a waterproof tarpauline and put that over the top of the whole thing temporarily. (That's where one of the finishing touches part comes in... )

Inside, in the back corner, there is a 2 storey rabbit hutch with the bottom wire removed.
The top is filled with hay as a sleeping box.

We also made another sleeping "box" on a higher level filled with hay... it's basically a giant wooden tray suspended above the ground... the big blue ramp leads up to it.
We covered the ramp with a non slip surface stuff (don't know what to call it lol)
And under the ramp is another box where I'm going to put their food so they can eat it and feel safe.

And finally... put the bunnies in :) (that's a whole other chapter haha)

The pics below were taken at night so apologies for quality...
