    Foreign Exchange
I just like to know if there is a best time and worst time of the day to do currency exchange at the bank. I was told you get bad rates if you go to the bank late in the afternoon or on a Friday.

    Thanks in advance!

Generally this has been observed by financial experts as good advice. When you are going to exchange monies, do it as early in the day as possible. This will benefit you far more often than it goes against you.

What is the rationale behind it?

It's not a rationale, that's emotional. It's observational, it just is what it is. Perhaps it's because early in the day everyone/everything is hard at work "starting out", but later in the day all the things that can go wrong have gone wrong, people have given up on it getting better and things degrade slightly as a result.

Essentially, the longer into the day, the more things that can occur negatively. Who knows, this is just guessing.

It's more important to just know that it's an observable effect and act accordingly.
