    Fading hair color
I dyed my hair about two months ago to a dark red/brown color. I tried to get it back to my normal ash brown color by dying it a light ash blonde. It made the ends lighter but not the top of my hair. I don't want to go to the salon because I don't want them to use any abrasive or harmful products that could seriously damage my hair. I just want to fade the color a little so that it is not as noticeable while it grows back. I was also thinking that I could use temporary dye while it was growing back so that it would be less noticeable. Are there any home remedies that will help me fade my color without hurting my hair? Do you think that continuous use of temporary dye will help disguise the difference during the re-growth period?

You can use a temporary or semi-permanent hair color to neutralize unwanted tones. As for fading the color, clarify shampoos, Prell, Hot oil treatments, Dawn dish detergent and exposure to water will gradually fade hair dye.
