Privacy violation phsychiatric medical records hpaa public forum?
A woman I have no idea who she is started announcing to an online forum my medical history ex. Admitting into a phsychiatric hospital and so on. I know this is very private info because the facility would not even give family my inof at all. Well I am unsure what I can do and I can't find any connection between her and the facilty. There are only 3 people even aware of my situation so now what can I do, I can't stand people like this?

You need to find out a)who the woman is and b)how she got a hold of your medical information. Without knowing that, we can't possibly answer your question accurately.

I know where she is employed and her first name. I have an idea where she got the medical info a friend that works at the hospital, can you believe that. That lady was fired or forced to resign but I am sure she can still legaly be in trouble.

The friend who originally shared your information can be in trouble for violating HIPAA because she was a hospital employee. If the woman sharing this information is bound by HIPAA law, then she also can be held responsible... but that depends on what her occupation is.

Yes she has already been forced to resign due to previous issues, so I wouldn't put it past her,lol I also have to mention all of our husbands are in the military and bound to certain morals and so held responsible for wives and the one blabbing is also a gov. employee, the first woman had access to medical files and I don't want her to continue this b.s w/ other victims. I am wondering though the woman may not even disclose whom the info came from. There was also other unture accusations as well like me committing adultry.
