Vintage parts list for Bolens 2136
My son was given an old Bolens 2136 rear engine mower. And being that I'am his dad. And can fix anything. Hes counting on me to fix everything in a few mintues. He plans to mow his yard with it. I've spent a couple days on the web looking for parts and information . But the model and serial numbers are no longer in the records of the sites I've been to. I called the MTD/Bolens customer help line . And they don't recognize the numbers either. I've seen a few people on this forum and others . Asking questions about this same mower. So there's a few out there. If I could get my hands on a exploded parts list . I could search for parts on the internet without using the model & serial numbers.
Plus I could see what parts I might be missing. And any future repairs would be easier.
It has been sitting for awhile but it's in pretty good shape. I broke the carb down and soaked it in cleaner. Charaged the battery. And she started. I fixed a few more things and dang if I didn't mow the yard with it. But it hangs in gear and the brakes don't work all the time. And the front wheel fell off. So I've still have some work to do. I'am afraid to let him have it just now. Please if anyone has any info please post back . Anything would help. Thanks
