    Uninstalling a shower door
I'd like to uninstall my shower doors. I have a tiny bathroom & I think it will look better, more open without them. My question is how to do this & what to do about the holes that will be left behind in my ceramic tile when I'm done.

    TIA

The shower door is most likely mounted by screws to the tiled wall -- or something similar. Basically, you need to disassemble the shower door and remove the screws. I'm not sure what else to tell you about that.

As for the holes, I'd fill them with sanded grout of close to the same color as the current grout.

Is this a shower stall or tub?

Is tile in shower/tub area only?

U may be able to get grout same color as tile to fill holes. This will not show as much.

    Good luck

Most every shower door on a ceramic shower is on a frame which is then screwed into the wall sections of the door opening. The door comes out of the frame quite easily with two screws and you could leave the frame. Removing the frame will expose about 6-8 screw holes, still thinking this is a good idea? What would you use in place of the door, a curtain will look more cluttered than a clear glass door.

I agree with ballenger! I think a bathroom looks less cluttered with shower doors. I just installed glass doors in a guest bathroom and love the open look!
