Credit Card Debt Default in California
    Credit Card Debt

My wife owns a condominium (title is in her name only) in California where we both live in.
She defaulted on a unsecured credit card which has balance of about $25,000.
She got judgment against her and her back account is levied.
Can Credit Card company force her to sale her home or foreclose it?
How about lien ? What does CA law says about this?

    Thanks a bunch.

The plaintiff who won the judgment against your wife cannot a)force her to sell the property or b)foreclose on it. I'm not positive on CA law, but if they are able to file a lien then they might do so. If they do file the lien, it will need to be paid before the property can be transferred into anyone else's name.
