OK...
Here is my story
Have three children
Only had spotting the day my cycle was due when pg with them... and then the first had placenta previa

Only missed one period in my life(besides when I was pg)
Paps are good

Had a miscarriage 9/1/08
Cycles after 38,36,32,28,26,26,26,26

Think that brings it up to date

This month cycle day 1-3 flowing

Day 7 very light spotting
Day 11 dh and I trying to conceive... he was a little rough or deeper and I kindof pushed my cervix out... if that makes any sense because he just oobers all over... so I was trying to get it closer

Went potty and wiped some blood
Checked cervix got a clot~ real small 1/4 inch and stringy... cervix open

Day 12(when I should be ovulating) spotting gone... checked cervix closed
Day 12 dh and I have mutually pleasurable sex... in a easy position where it shouldn't be rough etc

Went potty... wiped lighter blood...
Checked cervix got a clot~ 1 inch long string... cervix partially open

I'm 34... tried calling the dr... no help but see in the morning

Can't go in right now and worried... could I be pg? Took a test on day 11 just to be sure negative...

I'm worried... because things have never been odd for me?

Can someone advise?

I am on... awaiting some kind of reassurance...

I tried talking to the nurse and had the dr on call contact me...

I really don't think it is anything... maybe I am pg... or something like that... but it is odd that after sex... it's like checking my own cervix caused something that maybe irritated by sex...


Since I can't really go "IN" I would appreciate a real valid response to this... not just "GO IN"

Do you think that this is bad enough to not just wait 14 days... wait for my period and see if next month is the same?

How could you tell your cervix was open? As a seasoned labor and delivery nurse it's sometimes hard for me to tell if a multip's cervix is open or closed. BTW, a multip is a woman who has had more than one baby.

Again, how could you tell your cervix was closed? Once you have a baby, and you have had 3, your cervix never closes completely again.

The cervix is highly vascular. Whenever there is rough or deep sex the cervix has a tendency to bleed a little bit.

Again, as a seasoned labor and delivery nurse, I can't even find my own cervix, and sometimes have a problem finding the cervix of a multip.

If I insert my middle finger (obviously clean and using antibackterial) I can feel the os... I am using the way it feels when I am not bleeding as to differentiate opened or close. Also have been checking all along... I have had three c-sections so nothing ever went through there.. so I can tell when it is open more than normal or not at all.

Days 4-7 nothing
Day 7 spotting after checking
Days 8,9,10,nothing(and on day 10 we had sex too)
Day 11 the deeper sex with spotting and a clot
Day 12 easy sex with spotting and a clot
Today... day 13 nothing
