I'm not an engineer but rehap old homes with cast iron tubs, The joist there are fine if its not sitting in the middle of the room. If its against a wall or close to the side plates the no big deal.
What's the subfloor made of and how thick?
2 sides are enclosed by weight bearing walls and sub floor is 5/8 inch plywood and cementboard.
Is this a claw foot or a reg old cast iron tub. I should have asked earlier
Yes your joists have correct size. Install the tub w/o worries.
