    Warranty Deed
I bought a bible at a yard sale and inside was a Warranty Deed and Death Certificate of the owner of the property, who past away in 1977 the other person listed must have pasted away recently. Would like to know how to find out about this property and if it can be claimed by someone that is not a relative?

Possession of a deed when the property is not already in your name will not allow you to claim the property for yourself. The only way the property could be transferred is if the owner (or the executor of their estate) signed a new deed. In fact, as long as the deed was recorded then the paper itself isn't worth anything other than sentimental value.
