I've been searching the internet and some bibliography but I still haven't found clear info about how you calculate the distance between 2 pumps in a pumping system, so far I've found that it relates with the NPHS but what I've read just confuses me more.

The distance between two pumps relates to the maintanance space required. From experience I can tell you that the distance should be minimum 150% the width of the pump
