    No feeling in breast
Hello. This is not something new with me. But it has been bugging me and now that I have found this wonderful site I thought I might get some opinions and thoughts.

I had a breast reduction in 2006. I got lucky and my insurance covered a plastic surgeon rather than a general surgeon, and the doctor was kind enough to give me a breast lift during the procedure OFF the record. (my insurance would not cover a lift) not to mention he was christian and willing to pray with me before the surgery which made a HUGE diffrence to me! But... im getting off track sorry.

Ever since my reduction, my breasts have nearly lost all feeling. I can pinch them and I feel nothing. I feel pressure (for example if my husband presses on them during love making) and my nipples have lost no sensation (quite the opposite, they are over sensitive now)

The doctor explained to me the possible side effects of the surgery but never mentioned loss of feeling. Could he have forgotten to mention it? Or is there something wrong with me?

    Perito

I had heart surgery 5 years ago. The left side of my chest was numb for two years. This type of problem is quite common. The nerves are cut and it can take a long time for them to recover. The surgeon said "two years", but it took longer than that for me. They never mentioned loss of feeling to me, either. I think it's so common -- and there's not much they can do about it so they ignore it.
