I am in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I just received a quote of 16k to install a 4ton system. I believe this is a bit high. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

Well first, is this just a change out of existing equpiment? Or is this a new house. Second how many floors and sf do you have? And third what kind of equipment were you quoted? Gas furnce plus heat pump, or ac only?
