How to kill of some of lawn
Hi, got a reply that suggests that just covering some lawn with landscaping fabric will not stop the lawn from coming up again. Does any one have ideas of other ways of killing it with out having it all pulled up, a friend suggested putting cardboard under the fabric also.
    Thanks
    Sandy

Smothering it is the easiest way. Just cover it with the landscaping cloth, a sheet of black plastic, pieces of cardboard, or even park a car over it. All will kill the grass, without poisoning the soil.

You could use newspaper (about 10 sheets thick) and cover it with mulch. This should smother the grass, and the paper will bread down without harming anything. Good luck.

Is there some reason why you are not considering RoundUp?
