Take out the word homework, and then it would be fine here. Even giving you information is helping you with home work. Besides, this seems like a socialolgy question, asking how philosophy affects cultural influences.

All that technicality stuff aside. How long do you want your Essay, as that would be a very broad topic, and far to hard to cover. You may consider choosing one culture, and one aspect or one philosophical idea.

Then you can narrow down to what kind of ideas you want and where you are going with it. Do you have a Thesis and Path statement yet?

Maybe write on how north america believes in freedom, but in reality it is this Philosophy that leads us to our ultiamte imprisonment.

The driving need for more, and more. The constant search for equality and it's now perverted quest for more power. We may be free to make our choices, but we are not wise enough to accept our freedom. We'd rather have power, with out responsibility.

Or so I'd try to argue. You really need only to look at the Decoration of independence, and read about the pursuit of happieness. As if we can never hafe happiness, but we are free to persure it.

Try Looking us the iron Cage, then aply it to today's ideals of consumerism, and the extreams we go to to gain more. We are never saticfied, until we are dead. This is becase we are curious creatures, and we think that objects make us happy; but really it's connection and knowledge and learning new things, and testing ourselves that make us feel most content. Or so I've come to believe.

    What about that for info?

Great ideas, but not good for a non-native English speaker who might think your spelling is correct. (And I do love you dearly, really.) Declaration (not Decoration) of Independence, for instance. Maybe you and I should become a team--you write and I proofread.

    Why we need philosophy ?
Why we need philosophy in our life?

    Is it very important ?

I think we need philosophy and without it our life will be bored

    What about you?

I think philosophy is important for a few reasons, first, because philosophy throughout history marks changes in the way people of the time thought and often was the precursor to changes bigger than we can understand.

Philosophy also makes us think about how we view our personal existence, and is often the door that opens our mind when we as individuals view our place in the big scheme of things.

As a class I like it because often you go into with a set of beliefs and after they are challenged, you know which ones you stand firm in and which do not really reflect your opinion and identity.
