It sounds like the picture signal isn't getting to the TV. This could be the tuner or maybe the signal cable is disconnected or something else.

How do you receive the picture? Off-air or from a cable box or satellite dish receiver? If either of the latter two, how is it connected to the TV? Do you have any sound?

OK. From the Verizon cable box, it is *probably* connected with RCA jacks to the TV (is this a standard TV or an High-Definition TV?).

RCA connector - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It may be connected in some other way, however. It's definitely possible that the red and white RCA connectors (for sound) are there, but the yellow connector (composite video) is not connected. Can you check that?

    What about Verizon tech support?

You didn't tell me how it was connected. I need more information. How many individual connectors are used? What colors are they? Are there labels next to the connections? What are they?

OK. Now we're getting somewhere. If another TV works fine, then we know that the television is the problem and not the connections.

I'm afraid that's probably as far as we're going to be able to go. The TV has a problem that a technician needs to fix... or you could do what I would do if I were you: Use this as an opportunity to buy a new High Def TV ;) :)
