Hi everyone my names abby...
So the problum is that I have worked for 2 years on my apperence and how to act and how to talk and what kind of people I hang out with and I have turned out to be a really popular girl and everyone looks up to me and wants to sit nxt to me and does watever I say so I'm kind of the movie popular but I met this guy and I really like him also but the only problum is... hes kind of a geek. He allways corrects me on my spelling or grammar and he allways wear these REALLY ugly shirts... last week he was wearing a shirt that looked like a fish tank and shorts from boy scouts... I mean I got past the fact that he's a 16 year old kid doing boy scouts but I can't get past the way he dresses... I'm takeing him shopping today but I feal bad so should I just try to change for him?:confused:

You shouldn't change. Neither should he.

Like him for him, or don't start a relationship.

The same should go for him. If he doesn't like you for you, but wants to change you into a Wilderness Girl, how would you feel?

My brother was a Boy Scout. He's a sophomore in college now and a world champion. Literally. Boy Scouts are some of the most amazing guys... you should get to know that about him.

Popularity in high school isn't going to matter when you're done. It's the friends you make along the way that you look back on and smile.

But the only thing is I'm a national ice skater and I'm kind of scared of the ice skating girls... two years ago I had an " ugly" boy friend and they still make fun of me and push me around and try to hurt me on the ice... that's the rest of my life

Well, hon. Are you wanting a relationship to make yourself look good, or because you actually like the boy?

You can't cater your life to what other people want.

I understand peer pressure. Very well. But, you're going to have to decide what YOU want and stick to it. COme what may.

I REALLY love him there's just so much going on with him asking other girls out and me trying to ignore it and people making fun of me because how he dresses... I don't know it's just a lot.

OK so my boy friend and I have been together for 2 months and everything iskinda complicated but one of the things is verytime we hang out it's like all he wants is sex... sometimes I feal like I'm being lead on... what do I do?

I agree. My husband is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank a boy scout can achieve. He is an amazing person. He's the sort of guy that would never, ever break a promise, that opens door, and treats everyone with respect. He always thinks of everyone else first. I couldn't be happier or have found a better man.

If you like him as a person then do not try and change the way he is. If your "friends" would laugh at or abandon you because you are dating a "geek" then they were never your friends to begin with. Would you rather surround yourself with a hundred people who only like you under certain conditions or one that accepts you for who you are?

If all he wants is sex, you already know his position. What do you want? If you don't want the same things, why are you still together?

Oh hon. If all he wants is sex, you know that its not a good relationship.

You're too young to have that kind of pressure on you - you should never feel like you EVER have to give in to someone for sex if you don't want to. Ever. Period.

Hey those girls make fun of you because they are jealous.so forget them.everyone knows deep down inside that they tease people only when they are jealous of them for some reason or the other.and you nobody is perfect.
