The normal wash light keeps blinking and I can't get it to stop.

Be careful on this one. I believe that's the same light I had on mine.d/w wouldn't wash right either.Kenmore had some recalls which they didn't apply to all models.Unplug,pull it out and check the dryer coil.. can be seen from back left outside.End burns off causing possible FIRE! Can be replaced easily at home with universal coil (or Kenmore ) for around $40 for the coil and a new plastic end which melts. Dozer
