    Bleeding during Birth control
I have been on a contraceptive pill (Jasmin) for the past three years and have never had any problems. However this month I started a new monthly pack and I am on my 6th pill for the month but yesterday I saw some bleeding, as if I was during my menstruation. This only lasted for a few hours. What does this mean?

Sounds like breakthrough bleeding. Are you taking the pills at the same time every day?

Almost at the same time though it does vary between one and two hours every day..

It may just be possible that you need to change pills. I would wait another month. If this continues then you need to see your doctor for a new prescription.

The same thing happened to me. I was taking the same pill for quite a while and it was almost like my body was getting used to it and I started to get breakthrough bleeding.

I had Implanon inserted at the start of the week and my period has just ended... so far so good... :)
