How do I wire a 2 wire tstat to a bryant heat pump! Can I us a jumper to make the cooling part work! Thank you
There is no way you can wire a heapump with less the 5 wires.
You mean you only have 2 wires at the outdoor unit? Or 2 wires at your t-stat? If you have 5 at the stat and 2 outside you can get it to work. With just a little wire changing.
Yes sir, like you said I have 5 wire's at the t-stat,but only 2wire's run's outside to the heat pump, I hooked the white wire to the (c) and the red wire to the (y) and the unit did come on but it was running on the heat side. I am using for cooling only, so could you tell me how to wire it so the cooling part will work. The unit has a c,y,r,e,w1,o,w2,w3, were do I need to jump it at? Thank you so much for your help!
White to common, yellow and orange to red wire
If this does not work you may need to bypass the defrost control board.
