Hi,

I'm German and am currently on an industrial training program on a J1 visa. I want to quit my program because it sucks. 1) How much time do I have to leave the country after my contract gets terminated? And 2) Can I fly back in to the US on a tourist visa? I'm asking because I do have a lot of stuff here after 4.5 years and would like to take care of a few things before I leave for good (selling my stuff,. ).

If you quit before completion of the contract term, you must leave immediately.. I would say within 10 days but if you complete the term, you will have grace period of 30 days.
