    Flow Rate
We just started flow rate in our physics class and there was a question that said the velocity is 0.5m/s and the interior diameter is 0.03m. What is the flow rate? Any help would be great

Flow rate is Av. Where A is the area of hose opening. v=velocity.

You have the diameter. So, use to find the area.

Then multiply by the velocity given. The units will be in m^3/s

Flow rate is measured as volume/time.

Yes, that is true. But as you said, for the classroom.

It's like the classic projectile problems. When shooting a rifle, for instance, windage is rarely considered but is needed in the real world.
