I have a 13 month old child with a guy who does not deny she is his but has never seen her or given me a dime. Im getting married for the first time to a great guy and he wants to adopt her. How can I get him to sign to over rights her father does not want to but also does not want to give me any money. I went through child services for child support and it has been ten months and still nothing has happened I only want to get on with my life and give my daughter what she deserves, a father who wants to be a father!

I understand your reasons, but he does not have to give up his rights. As far as the child support, I would keep pushing it with that department and eventually if he doesn't start paying he could face jail time.

I tried getting my partner to adopt my daughter but unforntaly unless the biological father gives permission there is nothing you can do apart from changing your child's surname by de-poll. Hope this is off some help
