Sole Custody and Travel with minor children
My son's mother did not list my name on his brith certificate when he was born, but for 7 years has acknowledged me as the father, accepting regular child support payments and visitation every second weekend. Can she take him out of the country without a parental consent form?

To take him out of the country, she needs to get him a passport which, in most cases, requires the signature of both parents. However, if there has never been any legal acknowledgement of the child's father, she can obtain a passport for him without your consent.

Have you been paying child support through the child support agency in your state? Is there a court order granting you visitation or any form of custody?
