Hi,

I have a Whirlpool model ED5FHEXMT00 that is not cooling on the fridge side, but works great on the freezer side. I took the condenser panel off and took a look at the evaporator and saw a little frost on it (white). The duct on the top of the freezer compartment where air flows to the fridge side gets block with Ice and each time I would clean it and still ice again. The thing is even when I clean it and air is flowing the fridge side is still warm. The condenser fan at the bottom is running as well as the evaporator fan. This refrigerator is a year old and I need to get fixed asap. Also I was told that the defrost circuit is bad.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you verified that the defrost timer or heater is not working?

No I have not as yet.
