I am wondering how far back a employer looking to hire a person can go back in years, I had a felony in 1996 will this show up on my background check?

Did you answer a question on the job application that asked if you were EVER convicted of a felony or did the question ask if you were convicted within the past 7 or 10 years? Makes a big difference what the question was on the job application.

No inever filled out a application, because I used to work there in the past, but the company has recently changed owners, new company, new rules I guess.
