Know about how to talk to teens
Hi ! I live in Australia but I originally come from India. I have actually migrated from India to Australia permanently and have reached Australia just 15 days back. I will have to start going to university now. So how should I start knowing more about australia and my university.

How should start talking to them? In the beginning there will be problems about the accent but I understand Australian accent.

So please help me in this .

What I would do is just sit back and observe for a little bit. It is easy to learn customs and attitudes and vernacular this way. I wouldn't isolate myself or try to hard, Observe and BE YOURSELF!

I have to give presentations to different types of groups all the time. So this is what I do. It works for me.

You be yourself now, then and always, some will judge you, and you may judge others by only what you see.

You learn by living life each day and learning what is around you.

Moreover, you may even see some people coming from India, or other foreign countries. You probably won't be the only 'newbie' there. Just take the previous' people's advice, and you'll have some friends already!

Just be friendly, no other way to say it really. Be yourself, don't let your accent get in the way of talking to people. My doctor is Indian and I admit I have a little trouble understanding him but he is so nice I don't want to change!
