Make it short and simple. Thank everyone for coming, congratulate the couple and welcome the new in laws into the family. It does not have to be formal. Just speak from the heart.

Say how proud you are of your son. Compliment him on selecting the ideal bride and make a few specific comments about the her best attributes such as that "she has really made an effort to become a member of our family, and we are very pleased to welcome her".
