    1998 Chevy Lumina 3.8L LTZ -

Noticed that the amount of Air from the vents with the A/C on decreases/stops when I accelerate.

I recall in my younger years a cars windshield wiper would just about "Stop" on acceleration.

    Loss of vacuum I believe.

Could this be the same type of problem I'm now having - Loss of vacuum?

    Is there a simple fix?

The engine runs just fine with 168000 miles on it.

    Thanks

    Definitely vacuum related.
What has probably happened is the vacuum lines below the battery have gotten damaged and the vacuum canister is no longer connected.
This vacuum system is goofy but it can be fixed. I've done several repairs that by-pass the cruise control system and restore A/C control. I'll take A/C over cruise any time!
