Can someone help me figure out how to replace the belt on my poulan/weedeater mower?
Have you looked for a diagragm under the foot rests and on the mower deck itself?
Need to know how to change drive belt on poulan/weedeater mower model #hd81486D
Rjay, I did not find that exact model number but your can view this one http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/lis_...M/L0605067.pdf Try visiting this site and try for yourself http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/owne...GooglexManuals Changing the drive beltrequires that you lower the deck and first remove the belt between the engine and the transmission. Depressing your clutch/brake will give slack to the belt and you should be able to roll the belt off the larger pulley. There rae usually keeper pins to help keep the belt from jumping off but your can roll the belt between the pin and the pulley. Keep in mind that briggsdud did answer this question already.
Uh,Ballengerb1,managemyhome.. com,is for Craftsman lawn&garden equptment only!
Smart choice though!

If you open that site and click on lawn tractors you'll see they have manuals for Poulan, weedeater, Husqvarna, Troybilt, Craftman, etc... It is not just a Sears site but the Sears parts site will refer you to this site for their manuals if you want a download.
OK,I never knew that.
Nor did I until I messed with the Sears parts site. They want to sell a manual for like $12 but no free downloads. This other site gives you freebies but isn't the easiest to use unless you type the model number exact the way it want you to.
OK,I never knew that either.
Thank, Ballengerb1!
You know your stuff!

We got off to a rough start but that should be behind us now. I think you can help the Experts help folks with their mower issues. You are actually the 3rd Mowerman at AMHD. MOWERMAN2468 has been gone for about a year and is sorely missed. Maybe you can help fill his void.
Shure thing! Ballerngerb1,I shure will try to.
