    Can dogs catch impetigo
    My friends dogs has recently had a litter of puppies and on there there seems to be a rash I just found out today someone who had hold of them had impetigo could this of been passed on to the puppies and if so is it harmful to them and how would I treat it all your answers are much harmful

    I'm really sorry I don't no what went rong with that it came out all rong so I will start again haha.

    My friends dog has recently had a litter of puppies and they seem to have a rash on there front paws just today I found out that they had been held by someone who had impetigo could this of been passed to the puppies if so is this harmful today and how would we treat it

    From what I've read, yes, it can be passed on from dog to human and human to dog.

    These pups need to get to the vet asap for a complete test and diagnosis.

    The puppies have already seen a vet but they were useless they did not no the answer so they had to Google it and said it was a mite because it was on the front paws we are just concernd now because if its not a mite and were feeding them the rong medication it could be harmful as they are only a week old, thank you for your help we will take them again tomorrow and let them no about the impetigo as I think this is what they have as well

    Keep in mind that I found the info I posted on the internet, so I don't know if it's accurate. Go with the vet on this one, they're the ones that know animal medicine.

    If you're not sure this vet knows what he/she is talking about then I would recommend a new vet that will at least listen to your concerns.

    WOW, I didn't know that could happen. My son had that when he was young and never considered the animals.
