If I were to be placing myself in a labor union would this help me or not? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Which labor union? Like for nurses? A grocery store? What?

Hard to say for all situations. But, for me, labor unions collected fees out of my paycheck, never did me any good that I could tell. I avoid them now if I can.
