What is a contactor on a heatpump? Where is it located?
I have a Goodman heat pump, model GSH130361AD. I've been told the contactor may be out. Can you tell me where it is and what it looks like. Thanks.

    Best answer:

Follow the power wires. The contactor goes between the compreessor and the power in.

A contactor is a definite purpose relay.
