    Shower install
    Contractor botched job, shower head moves back and forth through hole in wall/tub surround, appears that 6 foot long inside copper pipe not secured to wall is that a problem and why?

    Not too much of a problem unless you keep yanking on the shower head.
    We put up backing that we screw a drop eared ell, (see image ) to. This is the fitting the chrome shower arm threads into. The plumber simply neglected to secure the drop eared ell. While it's sloppy plumbing You shouldn't be concerned about using your shower. Regards, tom
