    I have been challenged
My ex-girlfriend bet me 100 dollars that she could beat me in a arm wrestle match. Should I take the bet? I weigh 117 lbs and am 5 foot 7. She is 5 foot 2 and weighs 125lbs. I can bench press about 75 lbs or so. I do not know how much she can lift but she works out regularly. Do I stand a chance?

    1. I'm not sure why your ex challenged you to a arm wrestling match... do the either of you get anything (other than money) out of this?

    2. You weigh 117 lbs at 5'7"? Wow. You're pretty underweight for your height.

    3. Technically, how much you can bench doesn't really show how well you'll do in an arm wrestling match. It's more about the wrist strength than chest/biceps. If you want, I suggest you work out your wrist and forearms.

Only one way to find out. Just do it.

She might win tho' because she has more body mass to put behind her than you.

    Completely agree with sneezy...

You aren't that big and she seems confident... and bench press has NOTHING to do with wrist strength, forearm, and lateral movement across the body.

So... is she just trying to humiliate you? Are you friends?

My understanding is that it all has to do with technique.
