When I was 13, I was caught for shoplifting, but the cop just took my name down and told me to tell my parents. I was never convicted or punished in anyway. Will anything show up on court checks or criminal record checks?

Ok thanks. Even if I did go to court, does the fact that I was only 13 and it happened over 7 years ago matter, don't they eventually become hidden from any view since I was a youth when it happened?
