If someone gets caught for stealing over 300 dollars for of stuff, and he is a first time offender. I got a lawyer and the court dates have continuously been postponed. My lawyer said to keep paying the restitution because I agreed to pay the money back to the store. My lawyer said that the prosecutor is talking about dismissing the case as long as I keep paying for the restitution and get it paid off. I was wondering what would be on my background check if anything considering I don't h ave a conviction.

It depends on how through a check is done. Most standard checks will only show convictions.
