    Knots in hair
How do I get knots out of my 10 year old's hair. It is long and tangles wet or dry. I have bought several different products, but none work

You have to use a product called 'No More Tangles'. It is a rinse after shampooing and eliminates the tangles and makes long fine hair easier to brush or comb. It comes in a shampoo/conditioner my Johnson(&Johnson).

Have you tried using loreal detangle spray for kids? I used it before and it worked. Also try combing her hair with a detangling comb. They are the combs with the handles and usually come in an assorted pack of combs. You should also put pantene leave in conditioner and baby oil in her hair when it is dry. Also don't pull her hair too hard when you comb or brush it because this will break her hair and it will get even more tangled.

Yes, some products out there like Johnson's and L'oreal are great. :)

When you begin detangling the hair, start from the bottom of the hair and work your way up with a wide toothed comb.

I think you should take a shower more often and use a lot of conditioner. Conditioner really helps if you put a lot.

The OP is talking about her daughter who is l0. You have to read more thoroughly before replying. I don't think a lot of showers are optional. Maybe baths, with your mom helping.

Big tangles in kids hair are the worst! It make you just want to cut them right out of their hair! But here are a few tips:
#1 realize its going to take a long time. You can put your kid in front of the TV while you work so that she doesn't get squirmy.
#2 put A LOT of conditioner straight into the tangle and rub it in gently (careful not to tangle it more) leave it there for a couple of minutes so it sinks in good.
#3 using a wide tooth comb and starting from the bottom with one small piece at a time, gently work the knots out. If you hold the tangle with one hand at the top it will lessen the amount of tugging that she feels.
    Good luck! :)
P.S my mom made me wear my hair short until I could take care of it myself
