    Can I leave the country
Can I leave the country if the father of my child and myself are going through the courts. Even if there are serious allegations against him that are being investigated by police and social workers. Can I leave to protect myself and child

Not if you don't want to be accused of parental kidnapping. If the situation is as you have described, get a restraining order against him and go to court for full legal and physical custody.

Thank you for your reply... Here in Ireland the mother is the sole guardian is that not the same as full custody

Well I'm not familiar with Irish laws. But, as long as there is a pending investigation, I don't think you can take off without alienating the courts.
