Inside unit blower works. Outside fan does not. Compressor clicks once?
The a/c was working fine last night. This morning, I noticed the fan in the outside unit was not running but the blower on the inside unit was blowing. I turned off the unit at the outside breaker box and turned it back out. When I did, I think it was the compressor I heard click but then nothing. PLEASE tell me it is a bad run capacitor or start capacitor. At worst a motor? Thanks.

Update: I read an old post that suggested turning on the unit and gently turning the fan with a long-handled screwdriver. It works so is it a bad start capacitor? And about how much does it cost to fix?? $$$$

Yes I would say compasitor, if it is a dule one that runs both the compressor and the fan probably $45 if just the fan maybe $10
