    Homemade small septic system
    Joe the Plumber,

    I have an outdoor patio with just two toilets, it is too low to tie into the main septic system. I live in the country, and need to build some sort of small setic system. Do you have any kind of plans for this, or can you suggest what I need to do?

    Thank you,
    Tammie

    What a great link. I just wonder if its worth all the work and cost when most patios have no toilets at all let alone 2. How did you end up with 2 toilets on this pation with no place to connect to the septic. You could also install a sewage ejector pit and pump the sewage up to the septic, like a lift station. Tom, got any links for Tammie to see a ejector pit?

    She could click on http://www.sewagepumpsales.com if she's interested I have more. But the home made septic system's the cheapest. Regards, Tom;

    But remember, even in the "country" everywhere I have lived, you have to have permits for any septic system. The area will have to be inspected and they county will tell you how many feet of lateral line will be required,
