Trying to make my family complete
I am married and have a beautiful daughter. She is almost 2 years old but is not my husband's biological daughter. We have been together since she was just a few months old and her biological father has no part in her life. I have full custodial rights of her and me and my husband would like for him to do legal adoption for her. What is the process and how do I go about doing it legally?

    1. Contact a lawyer.
    2. Get the biological father to sign away his parental rights.
    3. File adoption paperwork.

Why did you just copy Synnens post and post it as your own?

First not to be rude but your family is complete, each family is just what it is, a single parent, adopted kids or step children we love and make the best and each "family" is speical in its own way so there does not need to be anything to make it complete.

But for a step parent adoption, you will have to get the bio father to sign over his rights, and include that with the adoption motion to the court. You need or at least should have an attorney doing this.
