Is there anyway to detect the collision come from? Specially from PC that connect to the network.. I have problem with LAN in the office is getting slow.. or is there a software that can detect this problem.. Thanks.

You aren't actually going to see a collision. You would see a retry. There are many reasons a network would slow down. Most of the time, DNS has something to do with it. Though, it could be a chattering network card. In any case, I use wireshark to sniff problems. It is a free program and is capable of using filters to look at specific MACs or IP addresses. It is free. You might try downloading it and then looking for retries...

I have download wireshark software, but I'm still thingking how to use it.. A lot of feature in this software but I don't know how to get answer to see the collision yet...

As Joel mentioned, you will not see collisions. Do you have managed switches? This will also help in addition to the protocol analyzer like WireShark.

If you have managed switches, you can look at the individual port statistics and see which ones are showing lots of errors.

If you have hubs in your network instead of switches, then you will see a lot more collisions than you would if you had switches. What you need to look for are errors.

There is software that will monitor your network for this type of traffic but it can be pricey. We paid $45K for the SolarWinds Enterprise product. For the less pricey version, check out their Engineers Toolset at around $1,000 per license.
