No contact with son for two years!
Hi.. I have been divorced for almost a year now.. we had a son together and the father has not seen his son since our separation which took place nearly two years ago.. this is his choice not mine.. but in the divorce he got joint custody and had to pay child support.. but he has not yet to pay or have any contact with our son.. I was informed that I could take him back to court after one year of no contact to our son for abondonment.. and also for the back paid child support.. has anyone ever been threw or heard of a similar case.. please help me out

You need to indicate what state you are in because the laws vary across the country.

In California, for example, non-support or non-communication with a child for over one year with the intent to abandon the child (if the child was left in the custody of the other parent) is a basis to terminate parental rights. Not that you should seek to terminate rights, but the law does provide for it.

What methods have you tried to collect your child support ** you can not force them to have contact with child
Have you taken him back to court for contempt, have you turned it over to child support enforcement for your state. Have you discussed this with some of the private chilid support collectoin companies
