Whirlpool WX45500 top load washer vibrating
    Hello,

I have a 16 year old top load washer (model WX45500) that has recently started vibrating during the spin cycle. It is not related to uneven clothes as it will begin to vibrate as soon as the spin cycle starts with an empty load. I re-levelled the machine by adjusting the front feet manually and lifting the rear of the machine to activate the self levelling back feet.

The machine is located on a tile floor on the main floor and has worked fine in that spot for 5 years. The vibration resonates through the whole house, but does not cause the machine to 'walk'.

    Any thoughts?

The water pump might need to be your next stop. It will cause the machine to vibrate or act like it is off-balance if something small like a sock gets caught in it and it is sixteen years old :)
