    If a child sees something on YouTube that he then tries and gets hurt or in trouble legally. Can YouTube be held liable.

    The answer was no - parents are supposed to supervise their children, including when they're on the computer.

    There have been lawsuits on this same topic. The advice you received is correct. No, you can't sue.
