Trying to remember a fiction book title
I'm trying to remember the tile of a book that I read in elementary school, but I can't for the life of me remember the title or the name of the author... I can however, describe it to you.

The setting takes place in what seems to be the 1800s...
Its actually a group of families who agrees to live in a museum exhibit, the adults knew about it but the children didn't.
They agreed to live as if it were the 1800s, etc. There were cameras set up in trees for the museum go'ers to view. The main character is a little girl... about 13 years old.
An outbreak of Cholera spreads over the museum exhibit and people start to die.
The mother of the main character tells her about the museum exhibit and that she needs to escape to get help. The mother gives the girl a pair of jeans, a tye-dye tee, and sneakers--- modern day clothing to blend in.
The girl escapes the exhibit and gets help and the families are reunited with modern day civilization...

This is all I remember... but I remember that it was a damn good book and I want to read it again... only if I had a title!
My librarian doesn't even know what I'm talking about!
Any help is much much appreciated!

    Wondering Along
This sounds like Margaret Peterson Haddix's "Running Out of Time." The girl is named Jessie.:) Hope that helps!

    Fydor Bloom

I don't know, but it sounds a lot like The Village. Maybe M. Night Shyamalan would know?
