    Relief Vent Requirements
The plumbing code is boggeling me. In a single story slab on grade warehouse with long underslab waste piping runs, are relief vents required at 100' intervals?

    Hi Rod:

In my code book... you are not required to install relief vents unless piping over ten branch intervals in a multi. Story building.

You are required to install a cleanout every 50 feet for 3" and smaller and every 100 feet for pipe 4" and above.

Let me know if you have questions...

I don't think you they are "relieve vents" . I think they are Clean Outs. In my area, you are required to install Clean Out every 75' feet.

My code calls for cleanouts on a 4" building main to be 50 feet apart and 100 feet for lareger pipes. 4" house sewers shall have cleanouts installed every 75 feet and a clean out installed at every change of direction greater then 45 degrees.
    Cheers, Tom
