Java no longer working in IE7 on Vista Laptop
Ever since I removed the preloaded McAfee anti-virus program from my new laptop (Acer 5515) which has Vista OS (the free 60 day trial was up and I didn't want it anymore) my Java script won't work in IE7. I tried to find a place to download IE7 for Vista, but can't find it. I don't want IE8 because I tried it on my desktop and wound up having to do a complete restore because IE8 is so bad. I installed Mozilla Firefox browser and Java works fine with it, but I miss IE7 and can't view any videos and my Yahoo mail page looks weird on IE7. I tried reinstalling Java, but it says it's already there but it's still not working on IE7. I also noticed in IE7 Internet Tools - advanced tab - that Java Script is not even listed as an option to turn on. How do I get this problem fixed. Somebody please help! Thank you.

Even by having it load directly into the IE file, it still does not provide IE7 Internet Options - Advanced tab - with the option to allow Java. Until I can get the option listed in my internet options section, I can't activate Java in IE7.

    Any other suggestions?

Look in Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Diable Add-ons... to see if anything looks wrong there.
