    Harbor breeze fans all malfunctioning
I have five Harbor breeze fans thru-out my house. One stopped working last winter, and within the last month, ALL the others have stopped working. They are all operated via remote control. I hardwired one into the ceiling to run through the light switch, but I am hesitant to rewire all four in the other rooms. I find it a bit odd that all of them crapped out at the same time. Any suggestions or easy-fix ideas? Please help!

    Thanks!!

I have a Harbor Breeze remote-controlled fan with an attached light fixture. This fan has live connection. It is located in the sun-room. The fan + light fixture stopped functioning. I replaced the battery in the remote, instaleed a new light bulb. I made sure that the fuse is functioning. There is another light in the room that is functional. Any comments?:(

Remote control fans are notoriously unreliable. I would suspect you have bad receiver(s). Power surges can knock these out.

My Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Came With A Lifetime Warranty To Original Purchaser. Lowe's Sells Them Exclusively.

Then why did you have to buy replacement parts on eBay, as per your other thread?

The fan I bought didn't come with a remote... I got it as a separate option.

Harbor Breeze non-remote fans are fairly reliable.. . Still not great quality. Not as bad as Hampton Bay.

For the price, and warranty, it can't be beaten. I had a $10 off coupon and the fan retails at $44 with a lifetime warranty. Excellent phone support, too.

Again, if they are so great, why did you need the phone support?

Do you work for Lowes/Harbor Breeze/Litex?

    I'll leave this alone.
